reading manga vs reading books

i find it funny how it only takes me a socond to read a paragraph from a manga, but it takes me 2-3 minutes to read a paragraph from a book. lol XP, does anyone else do the same?

Most of the time, I read faster than I speak. It takes me at least 5 minutes to read a whole chapter/part. For manga, I can finish 3 volumes in half an hour, while a single novel...A month or so XD Still, most of the time I read manga slower than novels, because I was studying angles and such while reading at the same time. Reading western comic books is very different than of an eastern ones (manga, that is).

Ha thats kinda funny now that you mention it. I believe its due to the fact that in a book you must visualize the setting, however in a manga the setting is drawn so all you have to read is the dialogue. frankly i prefer manga. Anyone else prefer it?
