Okay, once again, something is bugging me you guys. It's about this picture of Lucy I sometimes see Mariko091 using as an example for facts. It occasionally appears in the main series itself. Image below. The thing that bugs me about this picture is how did they manage to take it? I mean, Lucy is clearly unrestrained in this photo. So why is she just standing there with a calm look on her face? I know they probably asked some questions and took pictures when they first brought her in. You know, back when they still had Aiko as a bargining chip. But this picture looks VERY recent. Not to mention thier appears to be information they shouldn't have been able to record after Aiko died. So naturally I'm assuming this picture is just one of a few mistakes Lynn and/or Mamoru made during the series run. So what is your opinion on the subject fellow members? Fluttershy: "I'm so excited, I feel like shouting. (softly) Woohoo."

Hmmm... I smell another plot hole! I'd have to agree that this is another mistake that was made by the creator. The pic looks very recent so we have to assume its post-confinement/escape from the facility. We can rule out any possiblility of it being in the facility because anyone who got too close to the containment unit would be killed. Not to mention they always kept that metal helmet on her. Furthermore, she looks to be in her Lucy persona, not Nyuu and we all know what Lucy is like. So I can't think of any possible way someone could have taken a pic or why Lucy would just stand there and let a pic be taken. Very strange if you ask me. |

Computer generated? Remembering, of course, the computers in that world would have to be more advanced, given Bando's cyborg parts and the clone restraints. Or---somehow Anna generated it? Perhaps a composite, placing a quick shot of Lucy's head on another girl's similar body?

Similar to what Gojirob said they may just have a way to identify a person's current appearance from an old photograph. They did get a photo of her as a child and maybe they have tech. that brings a photograph up to date?

IMO she does not look very calm in this picture, but rather like she is trying to repress the desire to f' someone up bigtime. Not saying that this would do anything because she has vectors, bu we cannot see her hands and feet in the picture, so those could be restrained for the purpose of the photo as well as stood 2 meters away. Another theory i have is those guarding her could be in possession of those tazer-like guns that numb vectors or gave her a sedative to numd them prior to the picture. If i can come up with something more creative or probable, then i will post it if anyone gives a crap.  Stability is a mindset, not a reality |

Thought of another theory! What if they had an innocent Diclonius like Nana with the same ability to disable vectors and they used it on Lucy to take the photo so she wouldn't kill anyone!

Well Sorry if I state something that has already been said, but if I recall correctly, they fed her through some sort of tube when she was being restrained and she does look calm when she's murdering people. My question is how did they put the clothes on her once they unrestrained her (or whatever happened). So maybe this was a bit prior to when she broke out? Maybe she was devising a plan of how she would break out and where she would go once she did it, along with what the risks were? Although I can't help but think that she thinks of herself as invincible and she has a very self confident attitude (both of which she definately earned). But yes this is a really interesting point. I have to admit it struck me as strange when i first saw it, but I didn't look into it enough and didn't notice. I don't think they knew how to disable vectors at this point (at least not in her facility) because of the fact that too many people were shocked when the director walked up to lucy and when mariko couldn't use her vectors. |

So far, the best explanations have been a computer generated image, photo shopping the face on another body and simply aging up Kaede's image. That last one actually wouldn't be that hard considering most anime characters appearances don't f*cking change at all as they get older. They just get bigger... in more ways then one at that. (snicker)
