Lilium is a beautiful powerful peace of music by itself.. but having seen elfen lied it takes on a whole new meaning.. a new life To me it is the sound of innocence slaughtered on a red dawn... years ripped away, short but golden moments lying dormant.. waiting for their moment.. the moment colour returns to a dull barren nightmare of black and white. Its the sound of happiness and sadness, hopes and dreams, horrors and despair. It is the sweet song of the elven but also their lament  |

One of the saddest, most beautiful songs ever written... The Elfen Lied anime wouldn't be what it is without this important piece of music. I find myself listening to it every now and again. I even listen to it in the car sometimes. |
