As i posted in the "how I came across Elfen Lied" forum, since I came into this anime/manga one week ago today, I have done nothing but consume as much of this anime as I possibly could, which means I have been frequenting this website. My girlfriend came across it on Netflix, and watched half of the first episode before we had to go somewhere. I asked her what it was about and thought I sounded dumb. Later, my friend came over and we booted it up to see what it was about...and we sat here for the 4+ hours to watch each episode till 2:30 in the morning. I have just recently got into some anime and have watched all of Queen's Blade, season one of Ikki Tousen, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and am currently watching D. Greyman. I loved the Queen's Blade story, as well as the animation (and I'm not talking about the sexual shots, I just think it is beautifully done) but Elfen Lied takes the cake. I have an obsessive personality to stories and movies I really enjoy and as such, I am currently reading the translated mangas, as the Elf anime ending didn't fully satisfy me (I need complete closure, especially with the tragic love story told here) and I know with the manga I'll get that (even though I already know how). I've emailed Lynn Okamoto, both in English and Japanese asking him a few questions as well as the potential future of the anime; but I doubt I'll get a response. I've also ordered my copy of the complete DVD set from Amazon to support the cause! (even though I've already downloaded all the episodes) I look forward to having you all on this journey with me. |

Welcom to the site mrmartin86! I was the same way when I first watched Elfen Lied. It was the best anime I had ever seen, and I couldn't get enough. And good luck on that email to Lynn Okamoto. People have been trying that for years. There is no future to the anime, unfortunately, as Okamoto is currently working on a new manga/anime at the moment. |

Why do people keep insisting that they need to contact Lynn Okamoto when he has no control or even influence be the case with the anime? The only thing he has control of his own manga and he finished that years ago in 2005, then finished "Nononono" shortly after and is currently working on "Kiwaguro No Bryhildir" You want to contact someone, you got to somehow contact GENCO (Or whoever currently has the rights to the anime) and talk to them about it. Okamoto himself has no control over it and the only thing he can do is... A.) Have some measure of influence over it. (And that thought is absolutely laughable right now considering how Director Kanbe screwed him over) B.) Is willing to use up his own money for the anime itself, which I can promise you he won't. |

Well I guess I was hoping he would have some insight, but I just wanted to put it out there, not really expecting to hear anything. I'm reading the mangas (currently on the 9th volume), and they are just fantastic! |
