Okay, I'll jump in as well. Watching/Reading Elfen Lied does not make you a pervert. Doing said tasks with the intention of seeing the nudity most likely does. Besides, when it comes Elfen Lied, the series is actually filled with what the community commonly refers to as "Fan Disservice." Basically it's "Fanservice" that's done in such a Creepy/Horrifying/Scary way that you miss it and can only think about scene itself. It makes Elfen Lied all the more interesting in my opinion. And then theirs the fact that the nudity, about half the time, is used to get across the point that it's bleak, depressing, and just downright terrifying. In fact, just get the point across, I'll list several scenes from Elfen Lied that have nudity in it that makes the scene more creepy as a result. 1. Lucy's Escape... anyone crying for Kurama's ditzy secretary yet. 2. Any scene that involves Nyu's perverted antics. It's funny at first... but then you realise the girls (and poor Kouta) are being sexually assualted. 3. When we first see Nana nude, she's covered with various scars, bruises, burns and even her own blood. 4. Every time Mayu appears nude, she either get's raped or almost raped. 5. Any scene with Number 3. 6. Mariko when she's released. She looks like a twig. Not to mention the fact that her arm gets blown off by a bomb after killing several humans. 7. During her fight with Nana, the FIRST thing Mariko does is rip off Nana's clothes. This is implied to be a psycological tatic of sorts. 8. Number 28. Poor, poor 28. 9. I don't know what's worse. The fact that Nousou has four naked clones of Mariko equipped with mind control devices in his basement lab... or the fact that he makes one them stab themself TWICE (once in the arm and once in the heart) just to prove said device works. 10. Then there's that rape scene with Chief Kakuzawa and Shirakawa. 11. Who could forget the attempted rape of Nyu by Professor Yu Kakuzawa. 12. When the diclonious at the holding facility break out of their cells and begin a mass slaughter of the on sight staff. Although I will admit this much, despite the fact that most of the diclonious are supposed to be disfigured clones of Mariko, Lynn did a good job of drawing them with some rather *ahem* well perportioned assets. 13. And last, but certainly not least, when Kaede's body is literally melting apart from overusing her vectors. Ouch, that's gotta hurt BIG time. I probably went off somewhere down the line when I wrote this. But I've put in my two cents and I'll see where it goes from there. |

Elfen Lied is an anime that pretends to show human misery in an unpretitious way, which means, it's an anime intended to strong people capable of dealing with the things that happen in the anime/real life. To make it more attention calling, dramatic and miserable, violence and nudity are just means. Elfen Lied is supposed to be a revolutionary anime in that sense, you may have ecchi and hentai animes, but not other anime which the purpose is serious and involves violence and ecchi like that |

Theres no actual porn in Elfen lied, therefore i wouldnt call it perferted to watch it. Thats just my opinion though im sure the people i go to church with would think the absolute opposite of me though because they would think a cartoon with tits and nudity would be the black lord of hells doing to corrupt my poor soul and burn me in the old pits.

Nudity is natural. It is not a driving factor of the series. They just believe that anime+nudity=perversion and that nudity+muesum=artistic. Do not worry they just have not given the show a try and that is their problem.
